Peer Trilcke referiert beim Workshop "Distant Reading und Diskursanalyse" (14.11.2015, IWK, Wien)

Vergangenen Samstag, dem 14. November, veranstaltete der G+C Blog einen Workshop zum Thema "Distant Reading und Diskursanalyse". Das Treffen von Historikern, Literatur- und Medienwissenschaftlern aus Deutschland, der Schweiz und Österreich fand am Institut für Wissenschaft und Kunst in der Berggasse in Wien statt (in direkter Nachbarschaft der früheren Wohnung Sigmund Freuds). Wir möchten uns herzlich bei Thomas Hübel, dem Geschäftsführer des IWK, für seine Gastfreundschaft und seine organisatorische Unterstützung bedanken. Außerdem gilt unser Dank Arndt Niebisch von der Forschungsgruppe Mediologie@Wien, die den Workshop finanziell ermöglichte. Die ausgearbeiteten Vorträge erscheinen im ersten Halbjahr 2016 als gesammelte issue auf dem G+C Blog. Die Beiträge werden die Frage nach der Vereinbarkeit von historischer Diskursanalyse und den quantitativen Verfahren der Digital Humanities aus informatischer und kulturwissenschaftlicher Sicht beleuchten.
