Der nächste featured-Beitrag zum G+C Blog-Schwerpunkt "Distant Reading und Diskursanalyse" stammt von Peer Trilcke und Frank Fischer. Die beiden Literaturwissenschaftler setzen sich kritisch mit Franco Morettis Arbeit am Literary Lab der Universität Stanford auseinander. Ist sein Verfahren des distant reading mehr als ein Witz? Ein Schlagwort im akademischen Theorien-Markt? Ein gescheitertes Projekt zur Analyse von Literatur mittels des Computers? Und was hat dieses Konzept mit einer "Archäologie des Wissens" zu tun? Lassen sich historische Diskurse algorithmisch analysieren? Trilcke und Fischer verorten Foucault und Moretti im Feld der Digital Humanities.
