Patrick Kilian bespricht in einem featured-Beitrag den neuen Roman von Laurent Binet: Die siebte Sprachfunktion spielt mit dem Gedanken, dass Roland Barthes am 25. Februar 1980 nicht zufällig von einem Kleintransporter angefahren wurde. Handelte es sich um einen Mordversuch, weil Barthes von einer geheimnisvollen siebten Sprachfunktion wusste, die rhetorische Superkräfte verleiht?

Um die mysteriösen Umstände des Unfalls aufzuklären, begibt sich Binets Kommissar in das Dickicht der französischen (Post-)Strukturalistenszene. Foucault wird in der Schwulensauna verhört, Deleuze philosophiert über Tennis, BHL knöpft sein weißes Hemd auf, Lacan dämmert vor sich hin: Eine intellektuelle Freak-Show also, die in Kilians Augen spannend und unterhaltsam geschrieben ist, deren Anekdoten und Koreferate aber auch ziemlich ermüden…
