Am 1. September wurde unsere Open-Access-Zeitschrift Le foucaldien in der Open Library of Humanities gelauncht. Publiziert von dem renommierten Open-Access-Verlag, widmet sich das mehrsprachige Zeitschriftenprojekt interdisziplinärer Forschung entlang Foucault'schen Denkens, und zwar jenseits von zugangsbeschränkenden paywalls.

Um ihre Standpunkte zum Potential des Open-Access-Publishing darzustellen, haben sich die Herausgeber Maurice Erb, Simon Ganahl und Patrick Kilian mit einer Intervention im Online-Magazin Geschichte der Gegenwart zu Wort gemeldet. Unter dem Titel "Wissen für alle? Open Access und die Macht der Wissenschaftsverlage" diskutieren sie die aktuellen Herausforderungen des wissenschaftlichen Publizierens.

Am 13. September berichtete auch der Österreichische Rundfunk (ORF) über den Launch von Le foucaldien: Die Beiträge sind online nachzulesen bzw. nachzuhören.
